Tempus Calendar App Reviews

Very nearly great, but...

I like a lot of things about the app, such as the simplicity of entry, appearance, and navigation. I also love the different colors for various calendars. However, there are a few questionable design choices and some bugs that make this app too frustrating for daily use. 1) For all-day events why are you NOT allowed to set the alarm more than a day in advance. If the alarm for my anniversary goes off at 6:00 p.m. the evening before, Im SOL if Ive forgotten to buy a present. For both timed and all-day events, I should be able to choose ANY alarm time. 2) This app is great for quickly adding new appts., but I cant believe there is no way to copy other events!?!? 3) When switching an event from all-day to timed, the time appears to default to 0:00 - 23:59, but when the event is saved it actually stretches from 9:00 - 2:59 the following day. 4) When switching an event from timed to all-day, the default is to have it cover two full days starting from the previous day. It takes multiple taps on multiple tabs to fix this strange default. 5) Default alarms should only be set on NEW appts., rather than overwriting already set alarms on old appointments. This is unbelievably frustrating. I hope some or all of these quirky issues can be fixed in future releases. Even though its only a 2-star app right now, attaining 5 stars is only a few small steps away.

Looks good, but...

...lacks basic functionality and there is no portrait orientation option and not even minimal theme tweaking available. Save your money.

Cant touch the "Moca" calendar.

I bought this calendar app early in my travels. I was never really thrilled with it, but it is better than some others. Do yourself a favor and check out "Moca".

Good but not trustworthy

As with most of this programmers apps I am running more than calendar at a time. Like others have noted editing is difficult and I can not trust 100% that appointments -- although entered accurately -- are stored in that manner. I think that no one cares about advancing this program further and I would save my money. The interface is welcoming but not completely thought out.

Ok. But need update for ios6

Jumping from calvetical, as that app keep getting complex. This would be my last try with this developer team. First, please update app for ios6... It has been awhile since ios6 on the market..... Please add the good feature from Calvetical without been slow and fat like calvetical, please? (feature like bar duration bar for event more than a day...etc)

No longer works on iPad 2

The calendar no longer fits on my iPad 2 screen, although it works fine on my iPhone 5. It also wont rotate anymore. I cant use the app on my iPad if its like this.

Terrible update

I liked the former version of this app a great deal. However, the newest update wont even display properly on the iPad. Its half in list view, half in calendar view, and will only display in portrait view. And I also hate the ugly new icon. Hope for a new update ASAP.

fix it now

No one said anything about ipods/iphone 5 having issues. The current, 2.1 version of this app will crash upon every event entry. I expect to be compensated or an update fix to come out immediately.

New update is terrible

I updated the app only to find I cannot view it on my iPad in horizontal mode and when in vertical mode the screens are split and access to each is hindered. This needs to be fixed ASAP or I will go back to my other calendar. This app is supposed to make time management more productive not frustrate me at every point.

My Favorite Calendar App

I tried about 20 calendar apps and ettled on this one because it works well, easy to add events, various calendar views are easy to acess. No problems with any updates so far

Be sure to...

Be sure to allow access to your devices calendar (Settings > Privacy > Calendars) to get this app to work correctly.

Great

I love this app! Super simple.

This app stinks!

It crashed on me twice and I dont understand why anyone would use it even if works

Problems syncing to Gmail calendar

The latest update reveals a problem syncing with google calendar. Not all items sync.

Easy and efficient

I wanted something to replace, and upgrade, the iOS calendar. Ive found that most 3rd party apps just clutter things too much, plus you have limited space on week and month views on any calendar app. This app greatly improves upon the iOS list view by increasing space to add more viewable words and days, and to still zip through events. Adding and deleting is easier. There is a slight improvement on the month view also. Turn the iPhone sideways and it goes into week view, which I think is somewhat useless and cluttered (on this app and all other apps). The iPad version of this app is awesome as it has the month and list view side-by-side. Ive always disliked every bit of the iPads iOS calendar. My recommendations would be to give the user the option of not using the week view on the iPhone, and to give the iPad an option to work in vertical mode. Killer app!

Not Impressed

Do not waste your money on this app since it is a rip off of Agenda Calendar but it does not compare. I am surprised that this company would release this app when Calvetica is much better. This is simply an attempt at a money grab and is a very limited application. You have been warned, do not spend another nickel on this app. Use your money for something else in the App Store to enhance your productivity.

Tempus

Dont waste youre money, app does not work at all waste of money

Simple & Awesome! But...

Love the minimalist feel, font, ease of use, almost everything! But when you import your calendars and set new colors for them, the changes are saved until you close the app. Then they reset! Super lame. Fix it please! Thaaaanks!

So freeing

The missing features of iCal are available in a simple minimalist form here. Its my go to app for adding appts (you can set multiple alarms as the default). The date list is so readable, I can see conflicts instantly. Syncs to iCal seamlessly. The settings allow you to adjust defaults to automagically load up. The new iOS 7 iCal is very nice, but I frequently switch between it and tempus to get a clearer view of what I need to do.

Do not put everything in this calendar

This was my first calendar I used when I went all "electronic". I put my whole life in this calendar and I lost everything! If you are going to go all electronic...l use the iOS native app and let it sync with the other calendars. I would not use an app as my primary calendar if it does not sync with the iOS platform. I really feel strong about this because I have written only a few reviews in my lifetime.
